Description of the job:

• Amazon Robotics Fulfillment Centers are automated by this team.

• As part of Amazon Internal Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics, this team provides real-time and offline (image/video) data auditing services. This team contributes to maintaining inventory accuracy at fulfillment centers.

• Associate in this role will watch the video of the stowing action at a fulfillment center, understand it thoroughly, and use human judgement in combination with tools and resources to identify the activity captured.

• As part of their duties, they are expected to verify or mark the location of the product using a tool while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.

• A fulfillment center’s stow quality is maintained through this process.

• Operational duties are involved in this position.

• Assists in the reduction of defects by performing high-level, precise, and thorough video/image audits under general supervision.

Qualifying Criteria:

• Degree in Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications preferred:

• Schedules, shifts, and work areas can be flexible, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities include:

• During a shift, the Associate watches several hundred videos and provides responses based on accuracy (quality), speed (productivity), and right/acceptable practices.

• The associates are required to take breaks at pre-defined intervals and spend 6.8 to 7 hours a day watching videos.

• Those who work from home should maintain (1) a dedicated workspace, including a desk, chair, and adequate lighting; and (2) workspace/work-related data should not be accessed by anyone but the employee.

Candidate must demonstrate:

• The ability to work in a non-technical role for a six-month contract.

• Auditing of image, video, and text-based jobs is possible.

• The ability to identify details in blurry, less sharp videos and respond appropriately. Focus and attention are required on screen.

• Work on incremental quality and productivity targets.

• Implementation speed and performance consistency.

• Experience working in rotational shifts (including night shifts) and with remote teams.

• Availability to come to office for few days (applicable to associates who work from home).

• During virtual meetings, I am willing to turn on the laptop camera.

What a day looks like:

• Rotating shifts are required for associates to work in a 24×7 environment.

• Employees would work a 9-hour shift, including pre-scheduled breaks.

• As per business requirements, shift timings may change every 3-4 months.

• As per Amazon’s work policies, night shift allowances are provided to associates working night shifts.

Weekdays off:

• Depending on business discretion, rotating 2-consecutive days off is available (it’s not necessarily Saturday and Sunday, but a 5-day working week with 2 consecutive days off).

Team members:

• Providing hands-free active stowing through visual audits of videos and images is the goal of the Data Auditing Operations team at Amazon Fulfillment facilities.

• Humans audit videos of short duration (usually between 15 and 20 seconds) sent to the Operations Team for product storage information.

• These videos should be thoroughly reviewed and audited by humans before being used in business.

• Videos audited by Associates will increase the effectiveness of automated processes.

• A further evaluation of the Associate’s performance/coaching will be conducted following the implementation of this process to help maintain stow quality at the fulfillment center.
