There is an opening for a Transportation Specialist ROC) – FTC role at Amazon.

An overview of the role of a ‘Transportation Specialist’:

Transport Specialists at ROC facilitate information flow between different stakeholders (Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolve any issues that may impact customer experience.
At ROC, the Transportation Specialist works across two verticals – Inbound and Outbound.
The Inbound (IB) Operations department is responsible for managing the Vendor/Shipper/Carrier/Amazon Sites relationship, ensuring that the freight has been picked up on time and delivered on time at the destination.
Outbound (OB) Operations manages the relationship between Amazon Sites/Carriers/Carrier hubs/Shipper destination sites, ensuring that the outbound truck leaves Amazon sites/Shipper origin sites on time to deliver customer orders.
We address any issues, such as appointment bookings, reschedules, in-transit disruptions, weather impact situations, etc. that may arise during the pick-up to delivery process.
In addition to the IB or OB operations, transportation specialists support a variety of tasks such as load scheduling, load cancelations, supporting network capacity management, coordinating with non-Amazon transportation organizations such as rail, sea organizations, managing remote gate-houses, ensuring equipment availability and maintaining it, and so on.
In real-time, the Transportation Specialist uses internal tools to research and query and to make decisions regarding the issue at hand.
Candidate should be capable of understanding the requirements of sites/carriers/shippers/drivers, analyzing data, and communicating the resolution or action effectively with an effort to meet the network speed and customer promise.
It is essential that the candidate understands the basics of logistics and has the ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.
The Transportation Specialist should be able to come up with ideas for process improvements and be passionate about implementing them.

Responsibilities include:

Maintain communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers, Shippers, Drivers) and internal customers (Amazon sites, business teams, stakeholders).
Make sure that all transactions or conversations remain high-quality and productive.
It is essential to have the ability to understand the size of the problem, escalate it systemically to the relevant owners and teams, and follow through until the issue is resolved.
Working with Amazon internal tools, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are some of the core responsibilities.
Make informed decisions based on available data in the best interest of customers and the organization.
Meet critical business needs within a variety of time constraints.
NA and EU regions are supported by rotating shifts (24/7, 365 days).

Qualifying Criteria:

Age requirement is 18 years or older.
Graduate/Post-Graduate degree, diploma, or high school diploma.
A minimum of 0-5 years of experience in customer support or operations support.

Qualifications preferred:
