IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025
Criteria for Career Eligibility at IOCL:
The NCVT/SCVT recognizes a two year ITI (Fitter) course for trade apprentices – 01, 06, 11, 16, 21.
Apprentice (Electrician) – 02, 07, 12, 17, 22 – Matric with regular full-time ITI (Electrician) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice (Electronic Mechanic) – 03, 08, 13, 18, 23 – Matric with regular full time ITI course (Electronic Mechanic) recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Matric with regular 2-year ITI (Instrument Mechanic) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT – 04, 09, 14, 19, 24.
Matriculation with regular full-time ITI (Machinist) course recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Apprentice (Mechanical) – 26, 32, 38, 44, 50 – 3 years regular full time diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% for general, EWS, OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates for reserved positions at a recognized university.
For reserved positions: 27,33,39,45,51 – 3 years regular full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for general, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates.
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) -28, 34, 40, 46, 52 – 3 years regular full time Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/University.
The Technician Apprentice (Civil) qualification consists of a three-year regular full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for General, EWS, OBC-NCL, and 45% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates.
(Electrical & Electronics) Technician & Apprentice (Electrical & Electronics) – 3 years regular full-time Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum marks of 50% in aggregate for general, EWS and OBC candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized institute/university.
Apprenticeship (Electronics)- 31, 37, 43, 49, 55 – A regular full-time Diploma in Electronics Engineering with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for general, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates for reserved positions.
Trade Apprentice – Graduate Apprentice (BBA/B.A/B. Com/B.Sc.)- 56 to 60 – Regular full-time Graduate in any discipline, with 50% marks in aggregate for general and EWS candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates for reserved positions.

Age limit for IOCL jobs in 2025
Minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 24 years as of 31st August 2025.
Relaxation of age:

A maximum of 29 years for SC/ST

The age limit for OBC-NCL is 3 years, i.e. up to a maximum of 27 years, for their reserved posts

For PwBD candidates, the age limit shall be relaxed by up to 10 years (for SC/ST candidates, it shall be up to 15 years) and

OBC-NCL candidates can be up to 13 years old.
IOCL Apprentice Selection Process 2025:

The candidate will be selected based on his or her performance in the Online Test and if he or she meets the notified eligibility criteria.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be used in the Online Test. Each question will have four options and one correct answer.
