India’s army has released the 29th JAG Entry Course starting in October 2022 for Short Service Commission for Law Graduates (Male and Female). Below is the Official Notification. The application process started on 19th January 2022. The following is the direct link to apply for the course.

Judge Advocate General 29th Entry Indian Army Eligibility
(a) Nationality – A candidate must be Indian.
  1. The candidate It must be a Citizen Of India. Or
  2. A subject Of Nepal.
  3. Someone of Indian heritage who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and the East African nations of Kenya and Uganda  Among the countries included in this group are Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia They intend to settle permanently in India after living in Vietnam and Thailand, If a candidate belongs to one of these categories. (ii) and (iii) above shall refer to individuals in whose favor the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility. In the case of Gorkha subjects of Nepal, however, a certificate of eligibility will not be required.

(b) Age Limit : It must be candidate 21 to 27 years (Born not earlier than 2nd July 1995 and not later than 1st July, 2001.)The date of birth on the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate is the date of birth of the candidate. an Equal certificate on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted and no eventually request for its change will be considered.

(c) study Qualification – Minimum Pass Marks 55% in LLB Degree.

3 years professional Degree after five years after 10+2 examination. The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India. The candidate should be from a College/University Allow by Bar Council of India.

(c) Fixed Stipend for Candidate Training.

(d) (MSP) Military Service Pay Officer salary is 15500 Per Month is Fixed.

Stipend to Ladies and Gentlemen during the entire duration of training in Service Academies i.e. during training period at Officers Training Academy (OTA) Rs, 56,100/- P.M After successful Getting Started, the officer’s pay will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. The period of training shall not be treated as commissioned service. Arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable,
Cadets shall receive compensation for the training period.

How to Apply for JAG Entry Recruitment  2022 Indian Army.

  • Applications will only be accepted from eligible candidates. can apply through the Indian Army official website  websitewww.joinindianarmy.nic.in 
  • Entry Application/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (Registrations not required, if already registered on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in). Fill in the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully. After getting registered, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard.
  •  A page entitled “Officers Selection – Eligibility” will open. Then click ‘Apply’  Based on the Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course. A page ‘Application Form’ will open.

Please read the Rules carefully and then click the “Continue” button to fill in details as required under various segments. Personal information, Communication details, Education details and details of previous Services Selection Board (SSB)

‘Save & Continue’ each time before moving on to the next page. When you have finished filling out the last segment, you will be directed to ‘Summary of your information’ where you can review and edit entries already made.

Only after ascertaining the correctness of all your details, click on ‘Submit’. Candidates must click on ‘Submit’ every time they edit any details in the application. The candidates are required to take out two copies of their application containing their roll number. 30 minutes after the final closure of the online application on the last day.

Selection Procedure for Jag Entry.

The selection procedure as follows:-
Shortlisting of Applications – Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defense (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email. After allotment of the Selection Centre Candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come-first-serve basis initially. In the following steps, it will be allocated by selection centers. The option to select the dates for SSB by candidates may be forfeited due to the occurrence of any exceptional  events.
Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centers, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective department. Please focus on the candidate’s registered email address and SMS number. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes will be entertained in this regard.
Candidates will be put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be refunded on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available on the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting i.e. www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II. Candidates  recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, Depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria Medical Examination
